Isaiah 11:11-16 Word to Israel, Glorious Hope P 2

“In that day…” not only will the Kingdom of God be like a new Eden, it will be ushered in like a new Exodus. God declares that He will redeem and rescue His people from every corner of the Earth. God has done it before, so the reader can trust He will do it again.

Israel, and Judah shall be brought back from exile. The whole world will see that God is all powerful, merciful, and just. They will not only be restored and united, they will have no threat from neighboring nations. God’s Kingdom will be a universal rule.

God will break down every barrier keeping His people out of their land. This is not just a repeat of the crossing of the sea in Exodus. Every highway from every direction will be made clear.

The rest of Isaiah’s message will make it clear that God’s Kingdom will be a place for all nations. However, here it is also clear that Israel still has a place in God’s plan. It is no small miracle that Israel as a nation and a people still exists today despite all of the persecution and genocide that has been attempted against them. God’s plan cannot be thwarted.
