Lacertilian

“A brown anole is a bad anole.”
That is what they tell me.
It’s not about their deeds or their souls,
more what’s ecologically healthy.
They don’t belong.
They’re from other shores,
Immigrants,
Outsiders,
…smelly.
So, catch them,
Kill them,
Swerve your wheel and squelch them.
“They’re bad hombres and we got to repel them.”
