Uniform
What is the appeal of shiny brass buttons?
The desire to be a part of a whole
Is powerful, and makes men tie a noose
Around their neck willingly, tightly, fast.
How did the nation embrace the color brown?
Goose-stepping down the path to holocaust,
Turning blind eyes away from railroad cars.
Starching stiff collars and sinching up boots.
Do not label me as part of the stampede.
Let me be my own individual;
But give me a chance to don a striking
Uniform, and watch me sell my soul to the host
