one face among the crowd
a single in the many
adding noise to the loud
bringing little to the plenty
will this make a difference?
can it affect a change?
is this better than silence?
preferable to quiet rage?
what if I were naïve?
unaffected by judgment or subtlety?
is that preferred to perceive?
           …choosing sides?
alone, am I still me?
or does one alone symbolize
most people generally?
