The Gospel in Brief (Hebrews 2:5-14)

In part, the gospel message that we should dwell on is this: Jesus is also superior to angels because, not only is He God; He became human. For a little while, He was made lower than angels in stature and power, and He suffered the same sorts of things that all people suffer: pain, grief, hardships, and temptation. He was made human and suffered all of that in order to be made the high priest that humanity needed to be saved.

He took on flesh and subjected himself to death to defeat the enemy who had power over death to free us from the fear of death. He had to be human because ultimately a human needed to pay the price for sins, and no lamb would ever suffice; no sinful priest could ever deliver. Jesus became the perfect high priest and the only worthy sacrifice!
