more missionary than conqueror
it has been said he said
“where plenty abounds
we surrender our generosity
believing that our country
replaces us each and several”
where wealth and safety thrive
we embrace dark fear and ferocity
the lie tells us that
all other is a danger so feral
where suffering abounds
we help and empathize
it is not a sign of weakness
everyone hurts and needs
save devils in disguise
God rewards our meekness
it sounds so simple
put a gun to their head and convert them
but forced surrender is a poor substitute
to open rebellion
