Injury

What do you do
when the ethical thing
is the thing that will come back to hurt?

How will you will
when position of power
demands power, causing sacrifice, assert?

Do you tolerate evil
that will die out in time,
or call it by name
and ensure it survives?

Why is it this
is the nature of schemes
that are there to make right, but pervert?
