Gall
some see hutzpah
pre-Kintsugi
in a bull razed china shop
they would like to
burn the bridges
before they’re even crossed
confidence born
in fear grows up
cartoonish arrogance
moustache twirling
tied-up damsels
their way to conjure brass
where they see handsome
in the mirror
the world sees only crass
(Poetry Scales 116 )
