Thankful for my first Thanksgiving with my parents in 13 years
And a last one with some of my kids for at least four
As a holiday it’s always seemed an afterthought
But as a day, like today, it is pretty great
It is nice to dive wholly in to doing and making memories
Instead of making lists of all the things to feel grateful for
That’ll keep for every other day
