Secular Syncretism 3: Questions

One has to assume that most evangelistic efforts that led to syncretism did not have such syncretism as their aim. Many of them likely also never realized that they were producing such mixtures of religions until it was too late, if they ever realized it. And that forces us to ask ourselves, are we doing any better?

Because looking at Christianity across Western Culture it is often hard to distinguish between the Christians and the other people around them in secular culture. Has there been a syncretism between Christianity and Secularism? When you consider such heresies as the “Health and Wealth Gospel” or “Moralistic Therapeutic Deism” you have to admit, we have a problem.

What do we do about it?
