Humbug
“If something is there, you can only see it with your eyes open, but if it isn't there, you can see it just as well with your eyes closed. That's why imaginary things are often easier to see than real ones.”
Under his wispy, crazy hair
There is a pair of antenna
And round his ample middle lump
Hide two middle appendage
Mistaken for a sports jacket
Is his dark black, shinny, elytra
The face over his hideous mandible
Is a crafted, human replica
Beware his stories, exploits, and recollections
And most especially of all
His unstable, self-serving affections
