Vellichor

It is a dangerous place to be
     a nexus of worlds and dimensions
The smell is intoxicating
     and the adventure irresistible
When you go there be forewarned
     the laws of physics don’t apply
Time stands still and most people there
     have been missing for years
And somewhere in the middle
     there may be a Minotaur
But it’s more than worth the risk

Go and come away with whole worlds
     for pennies
But don’t ever think you can take some back
     in exchange.
That way lies heartache.
