in the dilapidated, deserted stadium
along the avenues of ancient civilization
that dominated the land in a structure of beauty
is this a graveyard, corpse of culture
a ghost town?

or the thriving chaos of life
with ecosystems and cultures of another sort
flowers, grasses and insects and more
tangled with the esthetic of function and confrontation
issuing the challenge to be tamed and formed

but still
beauty
in its
pristine
green
