Cogitation

(Poetry Scales 4) 

Don’t think… feel.
Thought is an enemy
of successful biology.
Go with… Gut.
Faith seeking reason is
a dangerous theology.

Don’t concern yourself
with what is true,
what really works,
the right and wrong.
Truth is hard.
Ethics, choice, a hassle.
Your goal should be simply, “Feel good.”

Go simply
with the easy black, white
or more selective shades of grey.
Whatever you do
make sure you feel.
Don’t give in to cogitation.

Covetice,
All consuming desire.
Now THAT is a motivation.
