Beads of sweat pearled
up on his head and
swirled around the features
on his face.

Deeds of dread curled
round to strike and
hurled themselves like creatures
of fright.

Decisions sped spurned
on by desire not
laid out before teachers
of his grace.

Consequences burned
in his life evermore
witnessed by the bleachers
of past time.
